We’re always looking for people who are driven and have a growth mindset. If you want to be part of a company that puts team first, wows our clients, takes pride in our work, and makes space for personal priorities, come join us!
What does our team look forward to when they come to work each day?
“I love that my day is never the same. I have so many opportunities to help out clients and support my team.”
“The training I received from my team on each client when I first came onboard was awesome and it made me feel supported. The team is organized in a way that has somebody ready to fill the gaps when we need to be flexible, which is key for me.”
“I most look forward to the people. There is an attitude of camaraderie and being in this together on the same page. There’s flexibility and positivity. We build each other up and always want the best for each other.”
How do we make sure our team members are supported in a fully remote work environment?
We have been a company with remote employees since 2010. We value the flexibility being a trusted remote worker brings to our personal lives and have made sure that as we grow, our systems are built to continue to support 100% remote work.
- We use cloud-based apps or software for all of our accounting processes.
- We are clear on performance expectations for every role and provide access to the data behind them so you have control and transparency into those metrics.
- We have a built-in support system for every accounting task. We always have at least two accountants on every client so there is back-up when vacations are taken, sick time is needed, or other life things happen last-minute. Our Managers are also there to hop in and support as needed when questions arise or additional support is needed.
- We document everything. We love processes and procedures and we make sure they are recorded in such a way that when backup does need to step in, tasks can be taken over with a minimal amount of training.
What benefits do you provide?
We strive to provide the same level of benefits for all of our team, regardless of full-time or part-time status.
- Health, Dental and Vision Insurance (Employer-Covered for team working over 20 hours a week)
- 4% Employer 401K Matching
- Employer-Paid Life and AD&D
- 2-3 Weeks of PTO
- 10 Paid Holidays
- 5 Paid Sick Days
- Other paid leave on an as-needed basis (bereavement, jury duty, parental)
- Monthly internet and coffee reimbursement (sometimes it’s nice to get out of the house and work elsewhere for a change of scenery)
- Company laptop and other office equipment as needed
- Annual (optional) in-person, all expenses paid, company retreat
What is your interview process like?
We want to be transparent with you throughout the process so that you don’t have to guess on what’s next and you can focus on highlighting your knowledge and expertise as we talk. The interview process for most of our accounting roles consists of 4 interviews:
45-minute technical interview with our Head of People. We’ll dive into your motivations for being an accountant, talk about the kinds of clients you’ve worked with, and cover the different softwares you’ve used.
60-minute soft-skills interview with our Head of People and the Hiring Manager. We’ll focus more on the relational aspects of the position. We want to learn about how you work with people—your team, your clients, and your manager—through stories and real work examples from your experience.
60-minute QBO interview with our Head of People. At this stage, we’ve covered your experience and skills. Now, it’s time to see them in action! While we’re happy to train on various software, we use QBO daily with our clients. We’ll start by reviewing a standard set of books and then dive into some specific accounting scenarios to assess your familiarity with QBO.
45-minute interview with our CEO and Head of Accounting Delivery. We’ve talked to your references and are ready for one final call with you before we make our hiring decision.
Our Head of People will stay in touch with you throughout the entire process via email with updates on movement through each of our interview stages. We’ll have time built into each interview to answer your questions about us and you can always reach out as well via email if anything comes to mind!
Please check out our positions below. We are not always actively hiring for every single one of these, but we are always happy to chat at hiring@systemsix.com if any one of these looks like a good fit for you!
